ABOUT IDIOM RECORDS
This may very well be the most important page on this site...
The theory that conceived Idiom Records would have to be the thought
of giving artists an opportunity to "get out there" and build a name
for themselves. We feel that artists need a good solid starting point
for their career. And at Idiom Records that is exactly what we give them.
Another point that can't be overlooked is the fact that we are not big fans
of major labels either. Yes, Idiom Records isn't as experienced as many Indie
labels, and we are learning many things as we go along.
We will gain more experience every single day in the business, but one thing
that will never change is the fact that we want our artists to succeed.
We feel that our undying dedication to our artists is what will make
this label succeed.
Being a NEW Indie label is a setback in itself, and we currently
can only serve artists who are in certain parts of Texas. These parts include
Port Arthur and the surrounding areas, and also College Station and the
surrounding areas. However we will be more than happy to accepts submissions
from other artists, and give them a mention on our site.
Although we are based in Texas, we hope to make the internet one of our
main mediums for making music available to the public.
We believe Indie labels and music are on a divided front so to speak
and we are putting forth an effort to bridge the gaps,
and unite the indie front.
